Custom Systainer Label PDF for Everyone

Thanks for the inspiration, here's the labels I created.

I used a PowerPoint template (with a Master for each brand), converted each slide to a PNG and then printed them on BrainstormID cards. I'm happy to share the PowerPoint template if anyone wants it.

Those look great! I’d love a copy of the template. What’s the best way to make that happen?

Did you use the inkjet card or the teslin card by Brainstorm ID?

Thanks.

Here's a link to the PowerPoint template:

Feel free to take a copy and make full use of it. There's 18 cards included and a master template for Dewalt, Festool, Wagner, Kreg, Wen and two blank ones.

To print them you:

1) Save as PNG, which will export each slide as a separate file
2) Go to Brainstorm's layout tool -https://brainstormidsupply.com/id-card-printing-layout-tool.html/
3) I use the Canon M-Tray, no bleed option, select two of the files to create a PDF
4) I then printed them Brainstorm ID's inkjet cards, using their M-Tray on a Canon TS9100

Here is a PNG of the label I made for my DWS520K TrackSaw
created using the PowerPoint template I downloaded from the
link in this thread.

I found black and yellow Systainers on Lee Valley's site and I got
a Sys IV for my DeWalt TrackSaw so it will be easier to take with
me when working away from the shop.

Here’s a mini version of the same concept that I design for my Auer Assortment boxes:

If anyone has a Dymo Labelwriter printer they work well for making up quick labels. Only B&W but you can import graphics and photos. I was just trying it out for kicks this morning. I needed to print some address labels and found a roll of name tags (Dymo #30365) that I had never used. They are not sticky back, no adhesive, so you can slip them in behind the clear covers. They are slightly larger at 3.5 x 2.25 inches but easily trimmed. The Dymo label software (free) lets you add barcodes and many other options.

Microsoft Word, colour printer and a laminator. Works great!  Nice bright yellow tags appeal to me!

This is a great idea. I have only the old style systainers and some makita makpac's ( got them for free). After rebuilding my workshop, i intend to build a new sysport like cabinet to stack all of my tools. Then i will make some labels for the old style boxes

Here is a PNG image of the label I created for my DCW600B 20V MAX Compact Router with plunge base.

I created this in PowerPoint but you can't upload those files here.

Do you still make these? Looks like milwaukee is missing from the master power point.  Would you be able to make milwaukee one?

thank you

On some recent Festool purchases I noticed they changed the Systainer labeling with a more minimal design. I use the Festool (Tanos) Systainers to carry also my non Festool tools like Makitas and screws etc, so thought it was nice to make a new style template for different brands to fit the Systainer labeling. I added some common brands found here in Europe as template examples. Like Mafell, Panasonic and Fein come in a Tanos Systainer, but maybe it’s nice for an overall look you can use the same label design.

I took the reference measurements hands-on from the latest Festool label, added some vector logos found on the web and added some placeholder items images as placeholder.

Have a look at the downloadable PDF, it’s created it in Adobe Illustrator and editable. The font used by Festool is called “DIN pro”, in the weights Bold, Medium, Regular (this is not a free font unfortunately). The Festool label is as a sticker 80x50mm in size (within the blue guides), but the outsize of this print file slides into the Systainer like a buisness-card 85,667x53,924mm (size from the old Festool templates). So crop them to within the outer blue margins if you wish to print them as a 80x50mm sticker.

Feel free to change, edit and improve, but please don’t use it for any commercial purposes. All the logos are trademarked and the font is commercial licensed, so personal use only.

Anyway I thought it was nice to share so maybe some more people can nerd out on their Systainers :)
