I have a job where being able to cut bevels both ways on the MFT would come in handy, so I am thinking about getting an MFT/3...... but, what to do with the 1080?

I was thinking of using it as a Kapex stand, but wouldn't it be nice if the Kapex top was the same height as the top of an MFT3? It looks as though the Kapex on the 1080 is about an inch higher than the MFT/3. I'm thinking about taking 1" off of the legs of the 1080 to make this work. It would also match the MFT/3 height using a systainer on the 1080.  It's a little irritating that Festo didn't consider the height difference and lack of compatibility when designing the new table.

I suggest that you simply make some blocks with indents to hold the legs in order to raise one of the tables to the height that you want.  It's very easy to make the blocks and very easy to set the table upon them.  Thats what I did with my MFT in order that I could dock my mobile cart under it:

I'm with Frank simple and fast. Now I have solid 4 x 4 legs, but before that I had as pictured. I also put a flat on the bottom as you can see I went a lot higher than matching an mft/3 height.

I had to make the hole deep(you can see the rubber buried in the hole completely and then some) to go that high and still with no additional flat piece on the bottom a strong lateral force would knock the block out. Its not an issue when only raising enough to match the mft/3 though.
