I bought the 3000 guide rail this past winter. I made a few cuts with it and hung it on the wall till the next time i would need it. Pulled it off the wall to use it and the clear cut strip just fell off. WTF? this never happened on any of my old ones with the black strip! Has anyone figure out a way to stick these back on? Contact cement or something? Those strips are way over priced to fall off every few months.

Are you referring to the clear splinterguard on the edge of the rail or the black strip on the underside?

Adhesive Transfer Tape (ATG) used in the picture-framing industry will probably work. Used with a special tape gun, it will leave just the adhesive and not the backing paper on the surface.

ATG supplies

ATG can also be used without the gun. You apply the tape by hand and then remove the backing paper. It comes in removable and permanent versions.

Thanks for the tip on this stuff. It's been working great for me. Letting me get a lot of life out of the splinter guards.
