Posted a couple of weeks ago about cutting rigid insulation with the plunge saw & rail.

I have to say on speed 1 with my Bosch extractor connected I have to say it worked superb with little mess.

I have only cut a few sheets so far so not sure on blade wear.

But if you have a loft conversion to do this will produce perfect fitting slabs every time & save you a lot of time, with 1 of the diamond  blades it may be even better. [big grin]

Nice to start justifying my purchase

are there any static issues.
i must try that the next time. cutting al those strips is a nightmare to keep them perfectly sliding in.
you  could even make rafter lock like that  if you wanted

No, no static issues & I even had a few 18mm strips that had to be cut in, which was so easy.

It was nice to have the insulation cuts nice & square as with a handsaw it was always difficult especially in the thicker stuff due to the flex when cutting.

Like I said nice tight fitting cuts.
