Hi Everyone

I know that this subject has popped up from time to time and hope this will be of interest....

I was recently asked by a luthier who makes world class lutes in Paris. He wanted to know how he could cut narrow strips of wood on a tracksaw cutting station as he does not have a table saw. After writing to him with the advice I realised that many other people would be without a table saw and so I decided to make a video.

Cutting narrow stock on a table saw can sometimes be awkward or even dangerous as the cut piece can easily disappear down below the bed having been dragged in by the saw blade. Then cutting the last piece from stock now only 10 mm wide can be risky.

Here is the video:

Many thanks.

Peter

Instead of gluing I use double sided tape on the adge, or regular one on two faces.
