cutting out sinks & hobs

i must admit i used to jigsaw them in place. i was frightened the top would snap if i did it the other way. then i got brave and bought a ts55 and gave it a try. now each time i set up my trestles and a table top i made out of mdf and 3x1 pse. all biscuited together. i put the work top on that once ive done the mason mitres and trial fitted and marked the sink. then with a few offcuts underneath to support it all i use the ts55 and finish off with my jigsaw. easy.

it has to be the ts nice and plumb cuts and then the carvex i also use the GECKO on the rail to

20mm hole in corners, Ts55 & finish off with a handsaw typically.

I always assemble the sink cabinets with both the front & back top rails mounted vertically.

Most of the time cutouts done before fitting worktops, but like the other chap said if fitting a Franke pressure fit sink, then typically cut tops in situ.
