Is there any good accessory or hack to cut steeper than 45 with the the tracksaw? Maybe make some kind of wedge to go under the track?

[member=4105]tjbnwi[/member]  demonstrated a method once where he clamped the board vertically on the side of the MFT and then cut the steep angle.

This question sounds like it's referring to bevel cuts and whether anyone has arrived at a good solution to extend the range of the track saw's 45 degree bevel limitation.

It so happened today that I had to bevel a board 118º from horizontal. The piece is 20-1/2" wide, the saw was set at 28º. From the time I got everything out and set up, it took 16-1/2 minutes start to finish.

[member=15585]Svar[/member], thanks for the pad out suggestion, it made stop and think, padded up instead of out.

Set up. Mistake here was just grabbing a pieces of car siding for the support. View attachment 1

The advantage of raising up instead of out, blade could be buried into the "spacer".View attachment 3

I had to change the support to a 2x4, the bevel was dropping into the groove. View attachment 4

The reason the beam was not made to look extended is there an electrical raceway entering the ridge pole from the cubby area. Wanted to hide the EMT.
