In the absence of a bandsaw or a tablesaw, I used my TS55 with a simple jig to cut tapered legs. The jig helps to hold the legs in place, and keeps the leg stable and level after the first taper has been cut. I made the cuts in two passes- 2" of walnut is pushing the limits of my TS55 and original blade- and cleaned up the surfaces with a #7 jointer plane.

Hope you find it useful, it was a safe, quick and effective method with minimal setup and equipment.

Thanks for the video Richard.  Did a search for tapered legs as I must do a set w/o bandsaw or table saw as well.  Wiill try your simple technique in the next few days.

Thanks. Hope it works for you as well as it did for me. Also good to know you can get away with minimal equipment when you need to.
