CXS Clutch Setting for Drilling

Hello,
New owner of the CXS, and I have a quick question.  When I turn the clutch collar past 12 towards the drilling setting, it gets very hard to turn before aligning with the drill icon (as if I am tightening it) and never reaches alignment with the icon.  When I tried this tool in the store, I seem to remember it clicking in place at the drill setting, which is not the case with my drill.  Am I mistaken, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for the help, so far its been an amazing tool!!

Cheers,
Kam

First things first... [welcome]...to the Fog.

The clutch should turn as easily to the drill position as it moves to the other positions, and the drill symbol should align with the arrow. It should detent in for the drill position just as it does for the clutch positions.

Hmm, so it sounds like I shouldn't have to really force it into the drilling position.  Maybe I should open a repair ticket.

Squeeze the trigger a few times and then turn it. I seem to remember mine being tight as well in the beginning. But man, that was a few years ago now!!

Cheers. Bryan.

Yea, so I ended up doing some work with the clutch at a lower setting, and when I switched it back to drill, it worked fine.  All good  [smile]
