I just recently purchased a 8 inch jointer and wanted to get a Cyclone dust collector. I have looked at a few brands/products and horse power but have come to no conclusion.

I have looked at a 1.5 HP units by Grizzly, Shopfox and Jet but upon reading found it is better to have at least 2HP. I have looked a 2 HP models of Grizzly/Shopfox but their performance is worse due to the Static Pressure. I have looked at Jet but their filters are 2 micron which is not acceptable (minimum 1 micron for me). I have looked at Harvey G-700 but the price tag is quite high not sure what to do, similarly to the

Not looking for anything over 2 horse power as its not needed. I have a 17" bandsaw, hybrid table saw, floor standing jointer, and a Dewalt planer that all need good dust collection.

Any recommendations please on brands/models, links if you have them highly appreciated. Something less than 2K if it exists please. Thank You

I would recommend checking out Oneida Air, they have a ton of general information on their site that should help you, they tend to be on pricey side as well, but they do have some units down in your range I think.  Hopefully this will maybe provide some additional information that will help you narrow things down.  You might even be able to come up with something else based upon their info on things.  Laguna Tools is another one, I actually have one of their older 2HP models, has held up pretty well thus far, but if I had it to do over again, I would like go with Oneida.  Oneida will likely have better filtration from what I recall.

[member=74462]Wood_Slice[/member] if the Jet JCDC-2 doesn’t meet your needs take a look at the Laguna C/flux2 specs say it has a 1micron filter

A bit more than your 2k budget. But I think you’ll have a hard time meeting that today

The Jet says 99% at 2 microns and 86% at 1 micron

HP means nothing it is the impeller size that is important and anything with less than a 14'' impeller is not worth buying and even that is marginal.
