Festool Dust Extractor Sizes

:D

I just did that with the existing bag and my old Dewalt shop vac...

It seems just the ultimate form of elitism against the shop vacs "your job is to vacuum the festool's dirt"

I've seen people make them re-useable using a piece of 1/2" PVC with a cut through it lengthwise. I know festool sells a very expensive re-usable bag.
I have the reusable bag in 2 of my CT's and despite the high cost think they're absolutely worth it, but for my 40+ year old SR5E that I bought with a 5 pack of the paper bags, I slit the end and clamp 2 strips of wood along the opening to seal it. At around the 45 year mark I'm now on the 4th bag with one new in the box left!

Pretty happy about the ROI there!

That's gold

I confine my CT extractors to small tool use. Any "cleanup" gets done with a typical shop vac or for large debris during a more thorough shop cleaning, I have a drop and a long hose for my shop dust collection system that I can use to pick up piles. So for me, smaller is better for the CT extractor choice. The most recent one I bought is the CT Midi and my other is an older CT22 which is essentially similar in size/capacity to the current CT26.
