D36 Hose adapter for Domino and Sanders

Hey folks - anyone know the part number to connect the 36mm hose to the tiny connections on the Domino and sanders (like the rotex 150)?

So there really is no festool-made part to connect a 36mm hose to a 27mm tool?

The 27mm reducer looks like it connects to the 27mm hose, not the 36mm hose - so I'm not sure how it would work.

You take a sharp knife or bandsaw and cut the thing in half. ;D The flexible rubber end fits inside the 36mm hose and around the small vacuum ports on the sanders,OF1000 router, older Rotex, Lamello biscuit joiner,etc.

If you talk real nice to your rep you might be able the get just the front end from the parts department.

For round dust ports on the newer model Festools you could try a universal adapter.

I don't think you want to use the D36 hose on the sanders. Too much suction will pull the sander too hard onto the piece causing swirls, scratches, sticking  and jumping.  If you really want to adapt the hose, you can use this link.

Just turn down the vacuum speed control. I like having one hose permanently set up on the boom arm and the 36mm works better with the router and planer.

I recently acquired a boom arm for my CT36AC and noticed a slight reduction in suction on the end of my 27mm hose. I am considering purchasing a new hose. Either the new smooth bore 27/32 or the 36mm hose. I use routers, domino, and track saw on the system.  Any thoughts on either would be helpful. Thanks.

On my CT26; I use only a D36 hose, because it works better for routers, track saw, and general cleanup.  I have a short ~12-18" D27 hose with connectors on both ends to use as an adapter.  Bob Marino used to sell them, but if you have two extra 27mm cleantec ends you could make one by sacrificing a little bit of a D27 hose.

In my endless battle against dust, I just ordered a D36 hose - part no. 500681 together with the D27/D36 converter -  part no. 498528 so I can still connect to the smaller machine ports on my CTL 26.  Will be selling my D27 on eBay to recoup some of the cost.  No idea why Fe$tool don't supply this combination as standard though as it really is the best of all worlds.  Shame the bluetooth control doesn't have a power reduction slider incorporated though...
