Day in the Life...without an RO90

Tim, I was intrigued by this tool you mentioned.  I found a video showing the Proscraper in use.  I searched and found the Proscraper can be purchased in the USA for US$32  for the tool and US$20 for two reversible replacement blades from  paul at boatservices.com.  I ordered one this morning.  Tell him Rob "the normal talker in the South" sent you. :)  (Now I'm in for it.)

The motorized scraper, the Gelplane, is cool.  A Gelplane would be fantastic for stripping tabletops.  About US$2000.

So what's the problem ???

Tom

Depends on your definition of problem.

If I set up a CT as above...then, I am inclined to mount the WCR with a stack of abrasive systainers on the MFH1000 and create what I affectionately refer to as the Festool Trolley, complete with music, syslighting, ipod docking station and a laptop on board.

That would be a problem.

Its like one of my son's favorite books..."If You Give a Mouse a Cookie"

I got it now, the problem is YOU. [big grin] (by the way, I like cookies)

I have been using the pro scraper every day for a few weeks. It's really great. The grip allows you to get a good pressure on the blade. Dust collection is very good. It doesn't fit on the festool d27 hose so I have been using an old piece of pvc waste trap as an adapter.

Also, double check the blade retaining screws are tight.  One fell out of mine.

You can find blades cheaper than that on eBay

The problem is definitely me. And you, and anyone else standing between tools and results. That's the tragic heroism of craftsmanship.  [crying]

For the record (check the time stamps), the problem is still you. And me.

Operator error lives, as long as there are operators.
