Dealer demo MFT's

  I posted this in the Kapex Pre-order thread, but I think it deserves its' own thread.  Festool dealers are getting a new top for their demo  MFT 1080's and 800's, a new splinter-guard for the rails and can offer them with demo tool discounts. SHOULD BE SOON.

Festool dealer's old stuff is being replaced with new different design stuff or just clean replacements?
Who would want a worn out splinter guard? Hmmm, maybe me. At least one of mine has a lot of space behind it and the edge of the groove it sits in.

I think they're just "reconditioning" the old-style MFTs so that the buyer gets a nice one.

Does bring up a question-- people might be interested in the used 1080 top, especially owners of 800s.

Yup, the holes should still be good.

If only someone made a machine (some kind of motorized abrader to remove material in a controlled fashion) to help you get the old marks and scratches off the surface
