Everyone,
Continuing with the idea of dealer-sponsored contests, I'm proud to announce that Bob Marino has stepped up to the plate for December!

The theme for the month is still in the works (Bob is taking the time to think it over).  But I wanted to get a jump on things and announce the prize...
Bob will be providing the winner with an ETS 150/3 sander or an ETS 150/5 sander.

The choice of sander is up to the winner.

In addition, the winner will also receive a 6" promo pack of sanding disks!

Everyone, let's offer a thank you to Bob Marino for generously sponsoring December's contest!

Stay tuned to hear what Bob chooses for the theme.

Stay in touch,
Matthew

Good Morning,
OK, it's December, and the new contest is officially underway...

The theme for this month is projects.  Any project posted in the Member Projects board is eligible.

Some quick points about the contest:
1. Projects do not have to be posted in December (any project posted throughout the history of the FOG is eligible).
2. You do not have to officially "enter" the contest.  As long as your project is posted in the "Member Projects" board, it is automatically eligible.
3. Make sure to show us what you built, the steps involved, and how you used Festool tools to accomplish your results.

Everyone, join in the discussion about your favorite projects for this month's contest!  Post about it here.  At the end of the month, Bob Marino will choose the winner.

The winner receives a choice of an ETS 150/3 sander or an ETS 150/5 sander, along with a 6" promo pack of sanding disks!

A big thank you goes out to Bob Marino for sponsoring this month's contest!

OK, let the discussions and posting begin!

Stay in touch,
Matthew

Bob,
Thanks for the additonal prize for this month's contest!

I agree, it's a terrific way to celebrate the season.

I've edited the original post in this discussion to reflect the changes.

Now, let's see and discuss all the great projects members here create.

Stay in touch,
Matthew

Great prize!  Great format!  Great vendor!  I wasn't a fan of Nov. format.  Thanks Unkie Bob!

Thanks for offering the prize Bob and for choosing to return to picking the winner based upon their woodworking and documentation skills.

Thanks for offering a great prize, and one that is complete in and of itself!  I don't have a 6" sander -- yet.

That sounds like a promise that you will be posting more of your projects soon!

Mat/Bob, do the stories have to involve Festool tools?  I have a few good ones in which using other tools to do the job lead to Festool purchases.  However, no Festool was used to do that specific project.

Since this is my first contest here and I only sell Festool tools I am leaning to a Festool project.

Good Morning,
Remember everyone, all projects are eligible for the contest.

So if you have a project you posted a while back, even if it was a year ago or more, you can go in and add some more photos and documentation to enhance its eligibility.  That will also help to bring the project more attention!

Keep in mind that one of the goals of this contest (and my original reason for doing it) is to make sure that great material continues to get noticed, no matter when it was posted.

Keep up the great work everyone, and please post your projects!

Stay in touch,
Matthew

Just thought I'd mention that this is the sander I won and it has turned into my go to sander all the time. Who ever wins will absolutely love this bad boy.! Good luck everyone.

Ok guys, this is a tough one as there are so many worthy projects submitted.
Give me a few more days to decide the winner.

Bob
