Hey all, what do you hear about Delta?  A couple of the woodworking stores near me do not have anything good to say.  Both used to carry a full line  of Delta but have since discontinued them because of the inability to get parts.  One seems to think they are going down the tubes.

Black and Decker took them over years ago and Stanley bought B&D since.

Yeah, it's sad.  [sad]

Lots of American history with Rockwell, Delta and Porter Cable.  Don't touch any of it now, even with a ten foot pole.

Proud to still see Milwaukee, Jenny and some of the Senco.

Who has other good American tool brands to add?   [smile]

Even made in the US is pretty rare.

Tom is correct but then Stanley Black & Decker sold Delta a couple years ago to a new company that is struggling to keep it going. Stanley Black & Decker seems to ruin every company they buy but I wonder if the new company can save it.

My understanding is the new Delta is Chinese as is Milwaukee. VERY SAD........

Yes that's what I was told
Chinese Co owns Delta now

There was just a huge auction to liquidate all the tooling and manufacturing machinery related to what was left of Delta.

Even their old stuff is not real impressive when you try and use it all day.
