Deltex DX93,dome on sanding base

Has anyone experienced problems with the Deltex DX93 sander, I have found that the metal dome on the sanding base is slightly rised and imprints thru the sandpaer making marks when fine finishing. I feel that this dome needs to be covered flush or recessed.

I've used mine quite a bit over the four years that I have owned it and never experienced this problem.

Same here.  I've never experienced this problem either.  While I don't use my DX93 all that often, its a great tool to have to get into those hard to reach corners.

I've had my Deltex 93 about 3 years and have never had the problem you describe.  Are you certain the pad is installed correctly?  That the screws in the base fully seated?  I suggest contacting Festool's factory tool repair guru's to discuss the problem with them.
