Design wine cabinet

Hello there,
I'm building a special cabinet for a client to put his wine in.

Everything is build with MDF 22mm.
I did the sawing whit my TS55 and the routing whit a cheap model from the do it yourself shop.

I will post pictures off the progres

In that second picture I thought you had somehow managed to find a toy model of the TrackSaw and you were pulling our leg. After I read a bit more I realized just how large those circles are.

Very creative and the lighting really makes it special!  Looks like you extended the sides to make room for the lights.  Can you give us more information on what type of lights you used?

I bet your cat wasn't happy to see the new hiding place leave your workshop.  :

Thanks for sharing.  I've got some leftover bendable plywood and this has given me some ideas on how I might use it.

Those are some very cool wine racks!

I'm not a sommelier or even close, but isn't light, at least at certain frequencies, harmful to wine? I've been in trendy restaurants that use wine to decorate the dining/waiting areas and the racks are often exposed to sunlight during part of the day.

I know that skunky beer is the product of hops and exposure to certain frequencies of light, like sunlight.

I've always been told that wine wants a still, dark place around 50 degrees or so Fahrenheit.

Am I all wet?

Please don't read this as anything like a criticism of the design or execution. I think both are awesome. I just think that whoever commissions such a wine rack may not know much about wine - or maybe I don't?

@ green mojo, that looks great and classy,

the light is a led strip that is 7m long, the side panels are  little bit longer than the cabinet self.

wine has to be saved in a dry place whit a steady temperture but because off the cost that this would be the client decided to go for the show element in his home.

i'm now building for the same client another cabinet to keep his liquor in.

Thanks, Smetje. Didn't mean to hijack your thread by throwing in my meager offerings. The design element of yours is very striking and really makes that room. Make sure to post pics of the liquor cabinet. As for the wine storage conditions, if you drink it fast enough there should be no worries!

You're right, should watch the humidity as well, don't want the corks drying out. But I have friends who would polish that much wine off in a few weeks with all their dinner parties so it wouldn't be in that storage very long. If no bright light or heat above about 75°F it should generally be fine short term.

@New2FES - On the Cellarpro, I used the duct kit so it is vented out the back. Goes into the attic.

I love the kerf cuts that allow the wood to be cylindrical.

I wish I had a large enough home or just somewhere to build a beautiful wine cabinet like that. The first one is really cool to modern for me. The second one is really contemporary and I love the mail tags for the lots on the drawers. Both projects are stupendous and seem to fit the decor of both rooms.

Wine and cheese is my favorite indulgence than comes scotch and oak furniture.
