They can be so pervasive it's truly scary. Years back I lived in a bungalow at the base of a block that had a creek and many trees around at the back. In the morning you'd wake up with a bunch of them on the ceiling above your head which for the first few seconds when you're waking up would be terrifying! Coming home in the dark at night was also fun!I thought you guys kept them as pets to scare off all the other Australian critters that find humans tasty.
One thing everyone learns here, is never, ever, put your boots on without bashing the hell out of them first to kick out any freeloaders! Feeling the squish of a sizable huntsman on your toes isn't a nice feeling!
