Dewalt track splinterguard strips for Festool?

Anyone tried mounting the Dewalt splinterguard strips to the Festool tracks?  i don't see why it would be an issue given that it's just a piece of sticky plastic.  I only ask because my local dealer has a bargain bin full of Dewalt accessories they're trying to move, and they have a roll of the Dewalt splinterguard for a couple of bucks.

      For a couple of bucks it has to be worth a try, What's the worse that can happen?
Give it a go and report back your findings. I would file this under R&D.
