DF700 connectors in kitchen table

I am building a kitchen table, which I would like to be partially "knock-down" for the long aprons. The long apron is 123 mm wide and 32 mm thick. The cross-section of the leg is 58 mm x 58 mm. I was planning to use the DF700 connectors. Would it be better to use 2 large connectors or 1 connector and 1 domino (14 x 75 mm). Any thoughts? Thanks much!

The connector documentation says to always have at least one Domino. I believe this is important for shear strength (parallel to the mating surfaces).
