I'm considering getting the cord less diamond cutter for cutting into grout lines inbetween cement blocks.
There is a disk available named MJ-D125 PREMIUM,
has anyone used this tool and disc for this application and is it good enough to cut straight across a cement block (not the grout line), how about concrete?

Also, I'm thinking if I don't use this option then I would try to attach my hilti angle grinder dust shroud to the CT midi hose.  What adapter would I need to connect the two?

Hi,I have that cutting disc and have used it to rake out brick and mortar prior to fitting roof flashing. The thickness of the disc means this can be done in one pass.

It went through like a hot knife through butter using the corded grinder.

I've no reason to doubt it would go through concrete block with similar ease.

I didn't measure how much diamond was used up but was negligible for the 2.5metres or so I've recently done.

Ben.

Thanks but I just realized this isn't sold in the U.S.  I guess I'll have try to get the CT Midi to attach to a Hilti dust shroud instead.

I wanted to get the cordless diamond cutter but it looks like this blade is only available for the corded version.

If I don't go with Festool I'll probably go with Hilti since I already have a Hilti angle grinder.

Had a quick look on the festool UK site, as you say that disc isn't recommended on the dsc-agc. Can only imagine it doesn't have the juice required compared to the corded version.

I would have been ok with the corded version if it was a 110-volt tool but apparently, it's 240v.  I'm looking at using other tuckpoint systems to use with the CT MIDi I but can't figure out what will fit the hose and what attachments I might need to make it work.  I'm considering the Bosch, Hilti, or Metabo systems now, if one would fit the MIDI hose perfectly that would be ideal as I want the best dust extraction possible.

Careful there, brickwork or grout are "like butter" to (proper) concrete which can be close to stone in toughness.

That disc *can* do soft concrete fine, but you do not want to go attacking proper, hard, concrete or stone with by brute force no matter the tool if it can be avoided.
