diamond sharpening stone

hi, I'm looking at getting a new diamond stone, I've seen an eze-lap 8" x 3" double sided stone fine/course,  I know there are other makes available, DMT, TREND,, does anyone have any comparisons between these, or other options that are available in the UK?

I had a trend one and the surface wore off really quickly, they swapped it under guarantee but same happened again. To replace it I bought a cheapish one from Axminster, the Rider Double Sided Diamond Bench Stone, that was a year or two ago and its been great, real bargain.

I had a dmt one for  years and it still seems to cut well. I wipe it dry after but don't go majorly ott with it - it hasn't shown any signs of rust after 8-10 years.
I bought a coarser trend one and treat it the same- its started to show signs of rust after 6 weeks !

I'm about to upgrade my sharping set up and going to buy some shapton ceramic water stones as I have read and seen good things about them. I will also be getting a diamond plate to keep them flat.
