Did You buy a new sander during the fall promotion?

What kind of sandpaper/systainer packages are available for the 5" sanders?

Jon

Just tell me what you want, Jon.

I haven't made any yet but the 125mm diameter is about the only configuration I haven't addressed yet.

Bought a RO90 like many here and thinking about a RAS115 plus some sandpaper/accessories but need to sell a few other tools to finance it. Just posted an ad for a Woodpeckers Router lift. more to follow in the next week.

Bought a RAS and a SHINEX, with pads and sanding accessories
also picked up a CT 26 with the work center.

In europe theres promotions about 50% of the year, spring and fall. Never really price reductions but free accessories usually around 10% of the value also. Funny thing is that i usually negotiate with the vendor to get at least 10% in free accessories anyway. The promos are also different from country to country, i suppose in order to evenly distribute the peak in demand. That may explain why they can't do it in the states.

Picked up the RO-90 but I still haven't put it to use.  Having a 1 year-old now takes all my time away from projects.  O well.  He did however love playing with the Rubin Sandpaper. [big grin]

If you're looking to take advantage of the current sander promo, you need to order by next Wednesday at the latest. Remember that related accessories and abrasives are also on sale. So, if you run through paper, stock up. It's not like it goes bad.  [wink]

If anyone has any specific questions, let me know.

Shane

Hey Shane, let's say somebody takes advantage of the 10% sale but then decide they want to exchange the sander for a different one within 30 days.  Would they still get the 10% off the other sander?

Just picked up a box of Granat 500 grit in the sale. Let's see what the fuss is about. Didn't need it at present, but these promotions don't come around too often.

Found a new use for Rubin paper - cutting teeth? ;D

I got a RO90 with the systainer for paper. Went back and ordered some more Granat Paper.

These promotions are expensive. I bought an R0125FEQ, an ETS150/3, sandpaper in all grits in 100 quantity boxes for both sanders, all the accessory disks for both sanders, and a CT36 dust collector. If Festool wants more of our money, they should offer more promotions. I normally wouldn't buy this much at one time. The funny thing about it is that I don't feel bad about doing it. In fact, I feel really good about it.

Now if they would only have a promotion on the Domino DF500 and the Kapex miter saw. Then I'd be broke for sure.

Not one, but two - a RO 90, a ETS 150/3 and a full complement of paper for each.  Gotta love these units.  My Bosch is now on Craigslist.

No  [crying], bought my new ETS150/3 the month before  [crying]. I'm likin' it though - could have saved a few bucks and like it even more  [sad].

No promotion here in Oz, but I did buy a RO 90, then a RO 150 .... Then purchased approx 12 boxes of Granat and various other materials and accessory doodads.

Pre my Festool days I hated sanding - thought it was the painful messy bit before painting/finishing!
