While working on my project 3 weeks ago that caused me to end up laid up (which I will post pictures of at a later time) I broke a couple Craftsman punches and also some long pin-punches that I got from Harbor Freight. I haven't gone to Sears to replace the Craftsman punches yet, but I stopped by HF today and picked up replacements for the pin-punches. While i was there I got enamored of their "12 piece Industrial Cold Steel Chisel And Punch Set". When I got it home, I *HAD* to take this picture. Look in the upper right and you'll see why:

Not an *exact* match, but eerily close.

Definitely not german tool quality, but I used a 25% off coupon on the chisels so the price out the door was less than $10 for the set. Not bad for something I'm going to beat the crap out of anyway.

Might as well take them to the scrap yard now to recover some if your list funds.

You are welcome to your opinion, but I don't agree.

I struck some steel with them quickly, and I gotta say I'm impressed with them. Once I get the broken Craftsman pieces replaced, they are what is going on CL.

Anyway I didn't post to start a debate on HF. I just thought the color was cool and decided to share ...

Excellent addition! I have changed the title of the post to better reflect my intent, and to hopefully entice other lurkers to join in the spirit by posting their 'Festool neon green' finds.

How 'bout it, guys and gals - what do you have to add?

Ha ha ha Wow. Quality chisels can be ok. In China, there is also more degrees of quality. What we do know certainly that I'm starting to see green all around.

Here's my contribution.  Color match is not nearly as good as those above, but close enough that I have designated the 6 in 1 screwdriver for my Festool kit.  It is a green clone of Klein's version of the same driver.  Comes in very handy and I like having a few basic tools like that kept with my Festools rather than robbing my regular toolbox.

The cabinet tip screwdrivers are also nice.

I like this ratchet bit driver from Lee Valley, except I wish the grip was a larger diameter.

this is soo funny cause i do the same thing when trying to accessorize green tools. I bought green micro fiber towels (was wayyyy too neon) and a dust pan (lil on the darker side)

Bought these glass suckers the other day

Would be neat to try and attach a guide rail to them

I just bought this for some label needs, it looks almost limited edition.

I bought one of those as stocking stuffers for each of the family members a few Christmases ago. They have been one of the most -used gifts EVER, and I think I paid less than $10 each.

I have to confess that I hadn't noticed the color combo as I haven't been out in the shop to use mine in ages, but now that I have it will have to go in a systainer with other valued tools that have a similar color scheme.

[big grin]

I broke my phone case - again - and the new one just got here. I decided I wanted something little more visible and easier to find in the shop.

What do you guys think?

[attachimg=1]

Come to think of it, though, considering the number of Sustainers and Festools I am accumulating this may not actually be all that much easier to find in the shop after all...

Something just clicked here.  I don't have a picture of GREEN, but I do have a quicky story.  Of course  ::)

Way back when i had just brought home my very first Festoy, (ATF 55.MFT 1080), i was doing a job for a local preacher.  I had found out he was also a hobbyist woodworker.  He had actually shown some of his work at several craft shows i had attended.  When i told him of my "ridiculous" purchase, he started in with all kinds of praise for his own Festools.

His name?.  Greenlee.  Of course.
