I have always had a really good workbench at the top of my woodworking wish list. I had perused all the usual sites and really liked what I saw on Diefenbach's website. I periodically looked in to see what was going on and drooling over the beauty of their offerings. One of the Ten Commandments says that thou shalt not covet. I think in this case an exception is warranted. A big part of the attraction for me was that I live just a few hours from their location.
Well, today I went on to their website to look again only to find that they have no workbenches available and that they are closing the business. What a bummer. I guess I feel responsible for not buying one and helping them stay in business maybe a bit longer.
I guess I will ultimately have to settle for someone else's when I do decide to take the plunge. I know there are lots of good benches out there but I am still really disappointed for me, for the Company and its employees, and for anyone else who had the same wish I did.
