Well, I did a search here and at tF and didn't find an answer, though I swear someone posted it.

I have an OF-1400 and need longer rods (463147 for the OF-1400).  I cannot find the rods for the OF-2200 on the EKAT system to know if they are the same part number (and hence no longer) or if they are indeed different.

If you have one, could you measure the diameter and length of the rods?  The OF-1400 has 7.9mm diameter rods (my calipers... could be 8mm :)) and are 400mm long.  Ideally, the OF-2200 rods are the same diameter, but at least 50mm longer.  The MFK-700 rods are shorter, but the same diameter (of note if they are too short.. borrow your OF-1400's)

Thanks!

Okay, so that's how it works... you post then your (my...) brain has a d'uh moment.  Rearranging things on the rods, I can make my application work with these rods, but I'm still interested in the answer as I have another EKAT order to place soon anyway.  I was gonna remove the topic, but FOG doesn't let me.

For the curious, I'm using the BCTW KM-1 to route accurate dados.  The catch is that you need a reference point you use the KM-1 against for the relative distance change for the second pass that's the exact width.  I setup the pads for the guiderail the same way as usual and put a stop collar on the end of one of the rods as my reference, but could have used 50mm more distance for it to be more useful.  Instead, I separated the pads (no microadjuster screw) and use one pad as the reference.  If I had a camera with me, and it was at all interesting, I'd take a pic :)

I'm sure I remember seeing a similar question too! I'll continue my search after I've written this...

The rods for the OF2200 seem to be classed as an accessory rather than a spare part, and are therefore not on EKAT. Their part number is 495247 and UK designation is "Rod ST-OF 2200/2" for a pack of 2.

The designation indicates they are really just intended for the OF2200, but there's always the possibility they may fit other routers.

Arden Power Tools in the UK list the rods on their website but state they are 400mm long, so whatever their diameter, I'm afraid it looks like your plan won't work.

Hi Paul

I have just measured the rods on my OF2200 with calipers and they are 10mm thick and 400mm long so I guess they wont be of use to you.

Thanks everybody.  I pulled the camera out to take pictures of what I'm doing for my blog so I'll take some of what I thought I needed longer rods for.  Will post them tomorrow because it is apparently too nice out for me to be in the shop  [crying]
