Does Festool offer any discounts on tools purchased to donate to high schools ?

Thinking about buying some Festool tools to donate to a great high school shop class.

Wisconsin has made steep cuts in school aid , and thought I wouldn't mind donating some Festool tools to a really great shop class approx. 40 miles from my home.

I like the Festool safety factor and good tools which would last the school a number years.

I would suggest that you should call Festool directly and ask them directly.  Many, many years ago there was a program for schools but I think that it was discontinued.  You never know what a phone call will do.

When I was at an end-user training class at Lebanon 5 years ago, I recall they occasionally offered reconditioned tools to schools at a discount.  This was before they opened recon sales to the public.  It might be worth a shot to contact someone there to see if they could do that for you.  Maybe they can get Brian Segley to deliver them and train the teachers.  [scared]

Good for you, Kent! I'm sure the high school kids will be thrilled with some new tools. Too many schools have given up on shop classes in recent years. Without support from the community, I fear things like school shop class may disappear entirely. [thumbs up] And if they never know who has made such a donation, may I thank you here and now for caring and looking to make a difference. You're okay in my book.  [wink]
