So, with discontinuance comes some discounts as you guys know.

This is an awesome chance to grab the bare bones Ti 15 Impact if you already have some batteries.  Or grab the full kit.  Both are around 25% off.  The included systainer, batteries and accessories are really worth the price by themselves.

Festool Ti 15 Impacts On Sale @ Festoolproducts.com

Just a reminder - the bare bones kit does not come with a drill chuck let alone the impact canceling chuck.

Peter

Are you sure, Peter?  The basic one I got on the recon sale had the impact canceling chuck included.

Maybe Sean can get someone to check but I think that I asked Festool this question last week in response to a PM I got from a member..  I looked it up in the 2013 catalog and the scope of delivery for the Non-Set version was the systainer with the added space for your existing drill, batteries, charger, etc., the tool body, the interface that cancels the impact and allows you to adapt to Centrotec, and the impact rated Centrotec bit holder.  The special keyless Jacobs impact canceling chuck was not included.

If I am supplying incorrect info, my apologies, and I hope that someone verifies and corrects me.

Peter

The TI-FX Chuck Adapter is included.  $50 value.  There is also a centrotec bit holder in there.

Hi Peter,

I checked and I got the Drill Adapter TI-FX.  I thought that's what you were referring to.  No other chucks were included, but I also got the bit holder Sean referred to.

Mike A.

Cool.  Thanks Sean!

I didn't mean to sidetrack the thread.  I just had that question asked of me previously and I also remember it coming up during the recon sale.  There was some confusion at that time.

Peter

Never warmed up to this tool. Seamed like it was trying to be too many things in one package.

I like my Ti15! Probably will never use it as a drill so can't speak to that. I also have a T15 and a CSX so no need for the drill function.

Jack

That confusion was caused by me I think, sorry Peter!

Just in case anyone else gets lost like I did-

The Ti15 basic set comes with drill, impact canceling chuck, and sys3 with insert room for your c12 or c15, or t15 too I think.  There is a combo impact canceling + jacobs chuck that doesn't come with, and it isn't listed in the accessories section on the festool site either.  I called festool and got a part number for it, it's around 45$, in case you want to have a jacobs with it.

I'm an oddball I guess, I like my Ti15.  We use milwaukee fuel impacts (and drivers) at work, I find them to be overpowered for my needs.  They're nice, but man I have overdriven and stripped out screws aplenty with em.

Sounds interesting to me if it fits in with my T12+3 (564247). Will I be able to use the chucks and batteries in that with this T15?

It's backwards compatible, yes. I assume run time will be less with a 12v battery, not sure about power. It'd probably have the same power output just at a lower run time.

On This Old House this evening. Tom Silva was using a TI 15. Good enough for Tommy good enough for me. Glad I got one during the sale.

He uses that thing for EVERYTHING! Lag bolts, tapcons, deck screws...that's why I've always been surprised by the reviews from owners of the Ti15 here.

Depends on your expectations I guess.

I watched Dave Reinhold's review, and it struggled through what I would consider very basic drilling/driving needs. I'm glad he was honest when reviewing it, because it prevented what would've been an inevitable return from me.
