My first take on a first aid kit for my shop.  Bought an emerald green sys 1 and a red latch. Decorated it with some crosses on all sides, that i made from a sheet of adhesive red vinyl.

Contents are:
1x cold pack
2x ziplock bags
1x bottle of disinfectant
2x Bandage
2x packs of painkillers
1x Hand disinfection
5m of Bandaids (cut of desired length)
Some finger and knuckle bandaids
1x finepoint Tweezers
1x Heavy duty scissors
2x packs steri-strips
1x micropore tape
assorted sterile dressing

I am also going to put a couple of bottles of eye-wash, and a tourniquet.

If you got some suggestions of stuff i missed, fire away :)

Maxipads and electrical tape. Great combo to stop massive bleeding.

oh yeah, thanks! i was actualy contemplating at least putting a couple of maxipads in it, i think i read it on the fog, sounds like a good companion for massive bleeds... ::)

I actually read that Paracord is really good for stopping bleeds.  Tourniquet also.  You can get it in Neon green of course.

This my version of a first aid kit. I used a mini systainer, since I only keep all kind of band aids in it. Comes in hang for minior cuts and scratches.

The clips were painted with an airbrush, then sealed with a clear coat.

Nice idea with the two tone T-Loc latch  [thumbs up]

Thanks, heh i discovered it by accident...dropped one of the latches and poff it came appart..

The only addition other the some maxi pads I made to the Festool First Aid kit was to add a bottle of Quick Clot.
The stuff works fantastic to rapidly stop bleeding

Very nice, but can't seem to find anything other than white or black here in the US ???

(or I should say lt gray and anthracite)

Dunno what you can get in the us, but i bought mine from http://www.kofferfunshop.de/ and i am guessing they ship to the states also. It is a bit pricier than a plain festool sys1, but then again it is easier to find, for both me and others. And in an emergency, cost means nothing!

I think my existing kit will need to remain for now, the shipping will be more than the systainer. I wonder what is preventing US suppliers from offering colors, oh well.

I thought I heard the minimum number the dealers needed to order was too high and they didn't move to make it worth the risk.

I tried to get a red t Loc from japan woodworker when I heard they were retiring but had no luck. I've been think about trying the krylon spray paint for plastic.

I haven't seen the bottle. I know of the pre 2008 granules and the more recent gauze packed.

I am pretty sure Frank Pellow used some type of plastic spray paint to paint latches and they are holding up fine. Maybe he will chime in here.

Those first aid accessories shown on the lid picture seem a little scary to me  [blink]  [wink]

These look nice, I have the festool one.

Of course, when I had my incident last Monday , I just ran for house.

Old habits die hard.

Yeah I've been fortunate enough to not have to use any of those.  ;)  They're for the serious injuries that require massive clean up  [eek]
