Hi Wow!

Do you ship to Norway? I have been thinking of getting a first aid kit, but I wasn't able to find a suitable kit here in Norway.

Also, I don't need it before christmas.

I'll ship to MARS if you cover the cost!

I originally offered the kit at $250 (with the intent of selling it at my cost) but ended up losing money on them. Thanks to the generosity of almost everyone who originally ordered - who didn't HAVE to do anything - I was able to recover most of the shortfall. The balance was made up by the new, higher price of the second batch. I also added a few items to the later kits that were not in the original ones.

Finally - as stated in the "interest in a second run" thread, I confessed that I hoped to make a few bucks on the second run and maybe pick up another Festool - or two. Yesterday I was able to order my VERY FIRST Festool drill! Maybe now I can use that CentroTec Installers Kit that I've owned since last Christmas?

Fun tidbit that I want to share:

Over the course of the First Aid Systainer project I have had 3 people tell me that they were lurker's on the FOG, but had made their first posts due to the First Aid Systainer.

How cool is that?!

Im in, i bought a 2nd run for my shop and it would hopefully move into the sprinter i am about to buy. Well i am about to buy that sprinter and can't imagine not having your kit in both. ill send you a pm. I could also wait for screen printing.

When my kit is on site (it has found its home under a sys tool box, its nice to know that the screen printing is on the sides. All my co workers have noticed as it sits in the corner. Its nice to know that if i get hurt that they will be able to find MY trauma kit. It goes with out saying that of course i know where all of my tools are, its for everytone else

As you know, I designed it to make sure that it is EASILY identified as a First Aid / Trauma kit, because - if it is needed - it's need NOW! Your statement about your co-workers noticing it proves that part of the design works.

And you're right - it's a special comfort to know that someone other than you knows what it is and can find it in an emergency, isn't it?!

Full disclosure:
Due the problems I had with damage or loss on the last batch, I am actually building two more than I am offering for sale. One I intend to keep for myself, as long as I don't need it to make good on someone's order. That's what happened to the FIRST one I tried to keep for myself...

The very LAST one *MAY* eventually become available, but:

a) only after all of the orders have been delivered safely.
b) only if I don't decide to keep it, and
c) not if somebody offers to trade for a tool I need or want

In other words, don't count on it!

So why did I even tell you about it then? Simple - I want to be honest so that if it DOES become available at some later time, nobody accuses me of playing games. I am merely hedging my bets to make sure that I can replace a lost or damaged shipment. so I don't disappoint anyone who is counting on me.

My grandfather (and also my first real mentor) taught me that customers come first. Then employees, which I don't have. And then - if there's anything left over - I get something.

I'm trying to make sure that there's one left over this time!

Update:

Systainers arrived today and will be dropped off at the printer tomorrow. It's gonna be close, but they promised me that I can pick them up next Thursday or Friday.

I already have 7 of the Med Boxes assembled and am waiting for more supplies that should arrive on Wednesday or Thursday to finish them up.

I won't be able to ship ALL of them to arrive before Christmas, so the ones that will go out first are those that are Christmas gifts. PLEASE EMAIL OR PM ME - AGAIN - IF YOU NEED YOURS BY CHRISTMAS? It's just a triple-check for me so I don't have the slightest possibility of leaving anyone without a gift on Christmas. That would devastate me!!!

AND - if it's OK to post your user ID in the list, let me know? I won't do it unless you are already on the list or have given me permission, but that way you'll know absolutely that you are on the list, and whether I plan to get it to you by Christmas.

I already had some of the supplies, and as soon as I realized that I had a problem with missing or damaged units I got the systainers on order.

You didn't tell me, though, if you need yours by Christmas?

Initially I did it as a service, but don't forget that I've made a buck or two on the second batch and this one - and I'll make a little more if the ones that got lost either show up or I recover the insurance on them.

I haven't actually calculated how long it takes me to order stuff, get it in, handle it, package it, ship it, etc. but I can pretty much guarantee that I didn't make minimum wage!

I *DID*, however, get to make a whole bunch of new friends on the FOG, and that means a lot more to me than making a few bucks. And I even got a couple of new Festoys that I haven't received yet. I'm making them a Christmas present to myself, so check back with me after the 25th if you want to know what they were!
