Do Centrotec bits fit other brands of impact drivers

I know this is a basic question but can't get an answer elsewhere. Do the Centrotec bits such as the T25 fit other brands of impact drivers. It seems like Festool makes their stuff to not fit other tools, saw blades etc. Thanks, Walt

The Centrotec bits will fit into  a 1/4" regular hex chuck  but will not lock properly so I would not recommend using them in non-Centrotec impacts.  I really don't think Centrotec is made so much to "not fit" as it is designed  to be a smooth running,  compact , built in, quick change system.

You can get a Centrotec chuck adaptor that you can fit into any chuck - but it makes for a very long drill/driver! (sorry, can't recall the part number and I'm at work).

I would not recommend using Centrotec bits in an impact driver.  These bits are too pricey to break in an impact.

I think it is important to note that none of the bits with the centrotec base are actually impact bits.

The only impact bits from festool are the impact rated insert bits that go into the impact rated bit holder

With that said, yes, the centrotec insert bits will fit any standard 1/4" bit holder.

thank you all. It looked (online) like it would fit but the locking point did not look the same. I will look at other bits.

This thread introduces a topic I was curious about--whether standard Centrotec drivers would stand up to use with an impact tool. I learned the hard way to use impact-rated drivers with my Milwaukee M12 impact tool, so I would assume that the same caution applies to the Festool drivers, in which case whether they fit or not is a moot point.
