I'm making some furniture off Gustav Stickley's designs with prints from His book. When i offer them for sale, it seems correct to say Stickley #--- reproduction. I'm curious how most would market this type of item?
Just my opinion, which could be wrong. I think you would want to credit your work, but also give credit to the original design. Something like the following:
A high back dining chair by rob, based on a stickley #
If it is an actual design by Stickly I think calling it a reproduction is suited, but if it was your own design made to look like a Stickley you could say "Inspired by Gustav Stickley".
