Do you use 4mm slots or 4mm Dominoes? Another use of 4mm Domino slots

In the User Upgrade to the Joinery Table post, 4mm slots were cut for the drawer guides. Here, 4mm slots are cut and used on the measuring tool stand:

I have used mine for quite a few things beyond the intended purpose too.
I used one of the bigger bits, 8mm or 10mm I don't remember which, to cut slots in the front edge of the shelf behind my workbench in the old shop. The slots were low enough to miss the bottom of the shelf itself and all the way through. I stored my MFT clamps there.
I don't have a place to do that now, so I haven't replicated it in the new space.
It also comes in handy for adjustment slots in jigs.

Super clever ideas. Only out of the box thing I've used the 4mm cutter for is for adding slots below a table for Z clips.

When I did not have a slotting router bit to cut the slot on the bottom of barn door for the door guide, I ended up using my biscuit cutter and sliding it across the bottom.  It worked fine.

As I recall, I made two passes.  One from each side to assure that it was centered and to get the width I needed.

Could you do the same with the domino cutter?  Or would you have to make a series of plunges?

Not sure about the larger cutters such as the 8mm or 10mm ones regarding sliding, but I'd be hesitant in trying it with a 4mm cutter even in soft wood.

I used a pair of #8 or #10 Dominos to locate a trolley/cart stop and then cut the retaining slots with the Domino and removed the extra material with a band saw.

Used the 4mm cutter to mill a slot on the phone stand for the speaker:
