Hi All,  was wondering if anyone else's ti 15 Kind of winds up to speed when you pull the trigger ? And not stop very abruptly when you let go?
Pretty annoying, is this how they are? Or should I send back?

Thanks, JE

Mine only winds up to speed when I pull the trigger somewhat slowly. If I just mash down quickly it goes to full speed in less time than I can detect any run up. It is a variable speed trigger so even just a bit of a slow or progressive pull will make it noticeably run up rather than just come on at full.

I would say that it does stop abruptly. I happen to like the variable speed trigger for the control, and also the abrupt stop to help prevent over driving. I am not sure a gradual stop would be useful?

It is hard to tell from general descriptions (like mine) if there is something wrong with yours or not. Maybe a video would help?

this sounds normal to me.  Mr. Semenza gave a good description.  Continuing to run when I release the trigger would be very bothersome to me.  That's why screw guns were invented...to replace winding down drills.

Mine does not stop abruptly when i release the trigger either, this only happens when the impact is bypassed. From my experience, driving screws with this drill is a no go when impact is bypassed.
