Hi All,
I now have an RO 90 and a CT 26 after several years of dreaming but I also have the requirement that I repaint the trim and kitchen cabinets before my next Festool. The RO 90 is for the paint and stain removal but I'm lost when it comes to choosing the right grits for the job.
Does anyone still break the 50 and 100 packs into smaller quantities?
I'd like to test out an assortment to see what works before picking up a stack 50 to 100 high
The stores near me stopped when there wasn't enough demand but hopefully someone knows of an online shop.
While you're hopefully still reading, any recommendation on grits / settings for taking off layers of old paint (mostly oil) over stained wood? I've seen videos of people using Granat 40 and 60 but I'm having a hard time understanding that option. 40 grit in my belt sander and I feel like I'm carving not sanding. Then again, the disk of Granat 80 which came with my RO 90 didn't reach bare wood after several passes so maybe I need to get over my fear of destroying the wife's cabinets.
In either case, looking forward to testing that dust collection
