Does Festool Black Friday?

That said, I was also not terribly happy that the DF700 didn't come with all the cutter sizes it's capable of when I bought mine.

To be fair, the 500 doesn't, either, unless you buy it used and someone purchased the assortment kit or the separate cutters.

Yes, that's absolutely true. I did buy the "assortment" kits early on so had the cutters already, but the slightly used DF500 I bought also came with all that stuff, so I lucked out with spares. :)

In related news the Earth stopped spinning today...details at 11.  Seriously I am stunned.

The Kapex 120 bundle somewhat tempted me, but I still just can't get over that the wings are only marked in one scale and not both metric and inches.

While I like my Kapex the stand leaves a lot to be desired. Compared to some of the Dewalt, Bosch, and others stands its a tough decision. I have a large Dewalt saw and their stand and it stows away very easily. I have never had much success putting the extensions into the strap/carry thing. The worst is the stability. Two legs on each side would be a significant improvement in the stand stability. Try before you buy if you can.

I knew if I waited long enough I would be able to buy another Kapex package at a bundle discount. Pretty funny someone asked a sale question that got the expected 'dream on' answers and here comes Festool with a good bundle sale.
I've had a lot of chop saws and stands over the years. The Kapex is my favorite by far. The lack of weight and ability to easily roll in and out of a job site is priceless for me. The putting together and storing took some getting used to but once I got the hang of it, it works well.
If I remember right someone was selling a lay over imperial scale for the Kapex wings. I don't generally use the scale. I mark or use the stops so the metric scale doesn't bother me.
Between the Kapex and router box and maybe something else its going to add up.
