Does the green polishing pad fit the ETS EC 150/3?

Hi,

First post (yeah)! As written in the subject I can't find any information if the green polishing pad (496152) fits the Festool ETS EC 150/3 sander. The pad gets mentioned herehttps://assets.festool.com//SiteCol...al_multimedia_download/de/p2010_awb751_de.pdf but is not an accessory on the Festool website.

I have searched the forums already but haven't found an answer.

Gutentag Benny, herzlich willkommen zum FOG.

That pad will fit your ETS EC 150. But that sander is far from a good polisher because it has a very low rotational speed.

You can buy a cheap dedicated polisher for about the same as the pad costs, and it will serve you much better.

Haven't seen a €20 Festool polisher yet, but hey .. there is always ebay and unicorns  [embarassed]

Since I will "only" use it for the surfix treatment, I think I will do just fine with the ETS ..

Never said it was a Festool.

Yes, it will fit. However, the ETS EC isn't really design for polishing. We'd recommend Rotex sanders or Shinex polisher.

Why does everybody want to sell me a polisher ..  [scared] I just asked if the polishing pad fits.  I want to apply oil to a piece of wood and don't want to "ruin" my other sanding pads  [crying]

Just use the Festool Vlies in green (496508) for sanding or white (496509) colour for polishing oils.
You can use these on any D150 StickFix pad.
Even the ones for sanding with holes because you don't need a dust extractor when using Vlies.
