Does the Imperial Centrotec wood drill set fit inside a medium Sortainer drawer?

I was thinking of making my own Centrotec set with a 9 drawer sortainer, but I wanted to check if the case for the Imperial drill bit set fits inside a medium drawer.  I have not been able to track down the dimensions for Imperial drill bit case.  Has anyone else made their own Centrotec set using a Sortainer?  If so, did you like the end result?  Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You might consider going with the 4 drawer  Sort. Less seperation , but that would allow for other larger bits too. Such as Forstners. Anything over an 1 3/8" (which still might catch on the housing) is the max diameter for the small and medium drawers.

Brice, how thick is the case? Would it fit with out the lid?

Does the internal foam piece with the bits come out of the case easily?  That might another alternative for me.  I'm getting ready to put in an order with Bob and I want to iron out some of my questions beforehand.  Thanks.

The box is 4 9/16" x 6 11/16" x 1 9/16".  The lid is pretty thin so you won't gain much if you removed it, maybe 3/8".  The foam insert is glued in, I assume you can remove it but the foam is fairly thick so again you won't gain much.
