Hi

I was browsing thru the new products and a question turned up about the ne CT17 vacuum. There is no bag listed among the consumables! Why is that? Is it bag-less? I know you can't use a bag when sucking up liquids, but what about dust?

Of course it uses a bag, all Festool vacs do. All Festool departments are just so busy updating their websites with the enormous influx of new material that they're not done at once.

[eek] What? Wow. No I am not rude. If you think the comment above is rude, you need to sort yourself out.

I simply gave information, theres no sentiment towards the OP whatsoever except for me trying to help him out.

Really .......  ??? What's wrong with you?

Thanks Jonny and you're right Alex the Swedish site isn't updated with the bag, yet.  [smile]

CT36AC can but doesn't have to

so i see a few tools in there that i want, and bad.

That DR 20 is exactly what i need. Love the right angle adapter too.. Would be nice to consolodate my right angle milwaukee super hole hawg and my normal hole hawg into one.

Any chance of it making it over to the states?  [smile]

You're right. But that's another matter. In fact, all Festool vacs can but don't have to use a bag. Your choice. [smile]

Hi

I had a word with my Festool rep. and he said that the CT17 is not a vac intended for use when sanding or other kind of "dust-creating" jobs. I guess it's not a HEPA rated vac? And it doesen't come with an AS hose nor seems any connectors (vacuum-side) available if you want to make your own.
If this is the case I can't see why there is a "tool-socket" on it or maybe it would be alright hooking up a planer (eg. EHL65) to it which doesen't create much fine dust?
This explaines the lower price. Any thoughts about this?  ???

Difference is the AC is designed to be used without a bag the others are designed to be used with a bag. A small Ac would be cool, I think they make a 26AC but its NAINA, I would have preferred that to my 36AC as it takes a lot of sanding to fill my 36 (probably in the neighbourhood of 10000 sqft of drywall) and once its full of drywall dust I would say it weighs about 80lbs maybe more so I rarely wait until its full to empty it.
