I wonder if my fence has a problem?  When I cut the mortise in 12mm Baltic birch the mortise is off center.  In checking the fence, I notice the tabs prevent the fence from bottoming out.  No matter how hard I tighten the vertical cam on the right the horizontal fence pries up about 2-3mm.  Do I need to remove the tabs in order to center the mortise?  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You may need to remove the screw from the fence clamp lever and reposition the lever so that you can tighten it more.

My Domino 500 is the older model with the pins rather than paddles, so I am not sure about your problem with the fence bottoming out.

Not sure I entirely understand the problem, but have you slid back the preset fence height gauge (the plastic thing on the left with the numbers) all the way, so the fence can slide down fully?

I have slide the black bar on the left out of the way.  I don't see that tightening the cam will work as I have put my weight behind the machine as I lower the fence and it still pry's up.

Are you saying the fence is moving after it's set? Its moving during use? or are you saying you are having trouble setting it where you want it?

The domiplate is a fantastic aftermarket accessory that makes 1/2" and 3/4" mortises  super easy and fast.

Not entirely sure I understand but if it helps, make sure the fence is set at 90 before lowering.
