Hello - I've been constructing my second cabinet with the Domino joiner and have found the same issue with alignment. With the vertical to horizontal cabinet construction after cutting the horizontal cuts, I start cutting the vertical piece cuts and after the first cut, the alignment pins seem to register the Domino off 90 degrees? This only happens when I use the pins for spacing, do I need to align the pins?
I guess I haven't been to clear as to the problem so, let me try again and I have added a picture showing the mortise spacing that I'm working with. I have been using the 5x30 size tenon for this cabinet construction where I index the first cut off one edge and use the pin spacing to cut a row of mortises as shown in the picture. When I go to cut the shelf mortises, I again index off the datum edge as in Rick's instruction (page 17) and when I go to cut the second mortise using the pin to index the spacing, The Domino's face won't push up against the side edge. The pin is somehow holding the joiner away from the reference edge. I guess I might have to set this up and take a picture to make this clear. This might be operator error but, I know the bottom edge to face on the joiner is at 90 degrees and I know that the two cabinet pieces are at 90 degrees, any other suggestions?
