Domino and thin stock question

I need to put dominos into a bunch of 3/8" slats, and I can't quite get it centered, since the fence stops at a higher position than I need.  Does anyone have a suggestion that hopefully does not entail buying more parts?  I can if I have to, but would prefer a shop solution if possible.

How about using some double-sided tape and put a thin filler board on the bottom of the fence?  You will probably want to cut out an area so you can still see the centering marks, parallax might be a problem when sighting.

Thanks John.  This is sort of where I thought I would end up.  Parallax shouldn't be a problem (yeah, right) sine I am mortising into the ends and will be using the appropriate doohickey.
