Early in the new year, [as part of making our house still viable in our later life], I will be making a deck ramp. I was hoping to use the domino deck joining sytem which appears only recently to have disappeared from the Festool Aust site. I also attempted to find it on UK Festool site with no luck.

This product was most likely NAINA, but has it been taken off the market in AUST, and UK/Europe, and has anyone used it?

With appreciation.

Thanks Eddo. Much appreciated.  [smile]  [smile]

Have you used this System?

Anyone else? Tricks, what to look out for?

To be honest I had forgotten about this entirely and I am a DIY'er with no space for a deck, even though I really want to build one. To that extent I have been keeping an eye out on that resurrected thread on the Kreg hidden screw system versus TigerClaw, vesus Camo Deck system. Seems like the Festool system is a lot more expensive ($AUD2.00 per join) versus the screw join systems 20c - 40c per join), and more work in plunging the domino holes?

That system was used in one season of This Old House here in the US several years ago.  Unfortunately, it is yet another NAINA product.  Tiger Claw seems to me to be the most cost-effective option that is commonly available in NA.

With apologies, but I am bumping this in the hope that someone in AUS, UK or Europe has used this system and will comment.

Thanks to Eddomak and Sparktrician for your comments
and assistance.  [smile]

Well Untidy, I've been eyeing this setup too, but it will be awhile before I have the funds for the Domino, I believe these hardware fasteners are only compatible with the DF 500, not the DF 700 XL.. I was thinking of going with the DF 700, but nowadays I'm not so sure..The size of stock I use generally will be most suited to the smaller DF 500...it's cheaper too...

I think the deck system would be really slick, and will eventually be giving it a try.. We have mega wet winters some years here in Denmark..
