I'm going to buy a Domino DF 500 soon and wanted to know if I should buy it with the Trim and Cross Stops.

Yes. The trim stop makes doing face frames and other narrow pcs much easier. The cross stop I never really use since making lines is so quick and accurate.

The accessories are very useful - I use the cross stops and support base quite often.
Get the full set.

Used my Domiplate today, and yes it's a great accessory.

Trim stop is useful but there are other ways to accomplish the same task.

The cross stops in my opinion are worthless, mine are out of alignment and as others have said pencil lines are fast and accurate assuming the slot you are cutting isn't on the tight setting. I use pins to align the tight sockets.

The trim stop is useful. The Domiplate is mounted on my 500 and being used as I speak. The cross stop...meh.
Having said that, the complete kit is $75 more than just the tool. And if you decide you suddenly need the trim stop, it costs $68. So if you buy the kit, the the cross stop price is basically free.

The Tenon Joiner Guide Stops they are Self Centering and Multi-position Guides make the trim stop redundant and are very much better.
The domiplate is my most used addition.
I like the cross stops as they can make marking out completely unnecessary.

Different people, different methods. No one way of working is good for everyone.
