Domino dry fit: pulling tenons

Good grief. And I just had a simple question....

Getting back to my original question and the actually useful answers amongst the flames: I might just keep a few sanded dominoes around. I like that idea. Pliers etc seem a bit risky, as I managed to break a domino that way once.
