I decided based on questions that occasionally come up concerning what screws to use, the knob part number, etc. to pull together a little instruction sheet which includes that information.  I hope that it will be helpful & please provide me with any feedback on additions, corrections, other information that might be helpful to other Domino plate users. Just set up the Domniplate and it is a fantastic accessory for the Domino ! It has improved my domino placement dramatically.

Ron, I ordered the parts from Uncle Bob to finish the plate and they were less than $9.00.  Any chance you could arrange some way to include the knob kit with the plate for the added cost?

Alex, I tried to order a few from Bob Marino & he replied that he doesn't stock them.  Were you referring to a different "Uncle Bob"???  [huh]

Hi Ron,

Nope, that's me. Ok, to be clear, Festool has these "parts" available for sale to anyone who calls in and asks for them. I have ordered a few for some customers and had Festool drop ship those directly to the customers.
I am considering stocking a small supply of these as a "convenience/service" item though for customers requesting it. However, if just bought by themselves from me, I will do it via check, not credit card.

Just used the domiplate yesterday to edge join 1/2 mdf ply.  I needed to make ten foot sheets to act as a substrate for some aluminum laminate.  I don't have the new domino, so the 4mm cutter was out of the question, no problem if one has your jig.

All I can say is even after using this jig so many times, I still come away impressed.  The joint was perfect and required little sanding, what a pleasure.

Ron,
    Suggest that you might add two 8mm washers (available at Home Depot) to the instruction set parts list to be used as spacers for those that don't want to grind 2mm off the knob bolt.

Ron, just reiterating the thanks for the brilliance and making of this add-on. 
I only just tonight noticed the .pdf you created, which really nicely lays everything out.  Especially the 1/2 vs 3/4 setup... For some dumb reason I always stop and second guess myself on which way should be "up".

My plate arrived yesterday - looks good thanks.

Re the suggested installation knobs: "Two (2) Festool #469620 Clamping Screws" the existing knobs from the Domino standard attachment for fixing the plate will work fine as you suggest, however, they are longer than absolutely necessary.  If one is planning to get new / additional ones - I believe that there may be a better option.

Namely:  Part No 469502 Clamping screw

These are identical other than having a shorter screw thread  - they are a spare part from the Trim stop LA-DF 500 or Handrail fence RA-DF 500.  They are just the right length for your metal plate which is thinner than the equivalent dimension on the Festool plastic part.

Not a big deal, just saves a few seconds every time you attach / detach the plate.

Domino gadget has arrived in Amsterdam. The knob is on order with local Festool dealer (who was very interested in the plate himself).
Did a little test, local plywood is app 17 mil so the domino is a little off center (app 1 mil max). Nothing to be concerned about, especially since registration and repeatability are a lot more better with the plate.
Am looking forward to the next project with the plate.

RonWen, I wonder if you'd be willing to disclose how many of these people have purchased?  I'm interest primarily in knowing how common these are becoming as far as broad Domino usage.

I think this plate is terrific.  I used again this weekend, making 24 mortises for a pair of garage cabinets.  It's so easy to align and use, and all sides came together with perfect precision and flush edges.    [big grin]
