Domiplate Order Thread

im not 100 % sold on this yet. a few details to conferm yet.

i would like to see a video showing it moving , setting up and cutting etc.
how ridged is it .
i would be more than willing to do a review if i got one sent over
if the price is right i will  probable buy one

im not sure i follow what people want . are they needing to drill a series of holes and then follow along with a few domino slots cut on the same centers as the holes.

i can see a benifit to this in that if you were doing a wardrobe (with 32 mm system ) and wanted to cut
slots for the bottom
a series of holes for adjustable shelfs
another row of slots for a fixed shelf
more holes
top slots.

I'am with you Alan, a picture would help [big grin]

I see the new Domino lr32 jig being used to insert Domino tenets as shelf pins?

This looks very interesting. Any idea when prices and maybe a video will be available? Cheers

As far as prices, you can go to the very first post in this thread, or:

Note, the links in this image won't work, go to the first post in this thread  [scared]

As far as a video, that is a wait and see.

Wow! I'm late to the thread, and may have missed a comment along these lines, but the first thing I thought of when I saw the angle- adjustable design using the LR32 was the idea of using it for making louvered shutters. Don't know whether this is possible, but it is certainly moving in that direction. Has pricing been set for this new accessory yet?

Jim,
I was also thinking the jig would be super for louvered shutters. You would have to have the rail the same height as your rail's and stiles.

I hate to sound ignorant, but I dont understand what the dominoplate does... I searched and there's some photos of the device and not much more other than enhancements to the design.

Ron,

Sent you PM, thanks for accomodating my request, looking forward to getting one.

No rush.

Video showing its use would be great, is it already done?

Cheers

A GREAT job Paul!  I've had many requests for a video showing the setup & use of the Domiplate and nobody could have done a finer job than you.  Thanks very much.  (You oughta be in movies...  [tongue])

ok... i understand this is $50 paypalled to you.....
and a way's back you said you could send thumbscrews and gripping knob as well....

how much for the plate, screws, and knob all together?

will paypal when i get the number... thanks...

if you poped the 2 halfs of the  clamping eliments knob apart they would fit. i think

when i got the domiplate i didnt have the clamping eliments but fould a knob lying around  [eek] that fit.

you could supply the bolt and let people make their own handle

I'll need to do some checking to see what I can provide those for.  It hasn't come up very often because most folks already have the knob & screws.  One of the problems with me sending them is that the knob won't (safely) fit into the small priority mailing box -- if I recall correctly going up to the needed size just about doubles the postage cost but again I'll check that for sure and post an answer here.

it's more trouble than it's worth... don't bother...
i'll just paypal you the $50 for the plate...

thanks for the reply....

Poped?

You mean... Like dressing up like Liberace's stunt double, putting on a pointy hat, muttering in a dead language, and swinging a smoking brazier? That will magick the knob into the box?

I need footage on YouTube. This has to be seen.
