hi there
i have the trend caulk gun type clamp that you use to hold a door open when you are morticing the lock
i broke almost instantly . i thnk 10 doors then the part that bites into the slots broke

has anyone got a similar type clamp.
before i got that trend one i used a wooden wedge but it was a pain and you could damage a floor

thanks alan

Yup, or use two thin ones opposed if you are worried about the veneer on the door, the bottom wedge is the one you tap to tighten.

I use Winbags too they're great for lots of jobs. Oh and I avoid most trend stuff as it's overpriced rubbish

this is the only trend thing i have that i dont like.
i mut try those winbags

I used to buy Trend cutters years ago now I but Wealdens cutters.

I had a T5 trend router years ago, it was a really poorly made copy of my old Elu 96e. It broke and they messed me about trying to fix it, eventually sending me a new one. The new one lasted a few months before breaking.

i cant fault their cutters  toomuch, they are a little pricy though . my local harfware store has a huge selection of their bits so i get them there
its not worth going online for 1 or 2 cutters. usually end up buying other stuff i didnt need

i cant fault my t3 router. i use it with a burr like a big dremel.

if you havent tried them give wealdentools cutters a try. I dont use any other brand these days.
