Drawer slide mounting screws for 1/2" ply drawer boxes?

I'm building a workshop cabinet which has 9" deep by 12" wide drawers which I've made out of 1/2" plywood and was surprised that the 9" full extension drawer slides I purchased didn't come with mounting screws.  Figuring that I need screws which are less than 1/2" long I started looking online for 3/8" long screws with a low profile head (pan or truss), but so far I haven't found anything less than 1/2" long which I assume would break through.  I'm a little surprised this is harder to find than I expected because I doubt I'm the first person to build drawers out of 1/2" ply.  The screw mounting holes in the slides are 3/16" in diameter.

Can anyone recommend a screw/source?

I actually have some of those and they didn't fit through the mounting holes in the slides.

Have you checked Custom Service Hardware?  I know they have a wide selection of screws.

Thanks, I just ordered a bunch of those, now to be patient while they get here...

I wonder if my local Woodcraft has those in stock, that could be instant gratification.

I am pretty sure I have used 1/2" screws with 1/2" plywood and the slide thickness was enough to prevent breakthrough. But definitely something to test first.  But those screws that Steve posted look perfect.

Yes and yes. They are always in stock and the 1/2" won't blow through. At least it hasn't on the three different types of 1/2" and 12mm ply I've been using.

The local Woodcraft had 2 packages left of the 7/16" long screws and I snagged one of them.  I also ordered a bunch from CS Hardware which should show up in a couple of days.  I tried them with a scrap piece tonight and they did not blow through, so that're exactly what I needed.

Thanks everyone for your help!  [thanks]
